Automotive Servicing NC I Passers

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology congratulates the passers of Automotive Servicing NC I assessment conducted at the Sisters of Mary, Silang, Cavite on April 29, 2017. Cavite State University obtained a 100% passing percentage from this assessment.

DIET students defend theses

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology (DIET) students successfully defended their theses on April 4, 6, 11 and 20, 2017 at the DIET Display Room. A total of 71 studies were presented for both BS Industrial Engineering and Bachelor of Industrial Technology majors in Automotive, Electrical and Electronics Technology programs. Castillo attends general assembly for production trainees

Mr. Gerry M. Castillo, OJT Program Coordinator for BSIE, BSAE & BIT-AT programs and DIET faculty member attended the 2017 1st General Assembly for Production Trainees at Toyota Administrative Service Center (TASC), Toyota Motors Philippines Corporation (TMP), Sta. Rosa, Laguna on April 5, 2017. 

The assembly was attended by OJT Coordinators from various TMP partner schools nationwide and students who are currently conducting their training at Toyota. The assembly includes seminar on safety and meeting covering the recognition of new partner schools, accomplishment of memorandum of agreement, employment capability of partner schools and corporate summer outing.

IE students attend orientation on gender sensitivity

Ms. Mary Carell D. Saba and Mr. Michael Angelo C. Maglunob, PIIE-CSC President and Vice President for External Affairs, attended the seminar on Gender Sensitivity Among All OSAS Personnel and CvSU Recognized Student Organization at the Student Union Building, Cavite State University on March 18, 2017.

The seminar was spearheaded by Dr. Nelia C. Cresino, Director of Gender and Development (GAD). Dr. Cresino discussed the differences between sex and gender roles; Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act; sexual harassment; and others related to the theme. She also had an interaction with the participants through questions and activities.

PIIE-CSC pres, attends Concon reading

Ms. Mary Carell D. Saba, Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers - CvSU Student Council (PIIE-CSC) President, attended the second reading of the Constitutional Convention of the Central Student Government (CSG) at International House II on March 17, 2017. The activity was headed by Mr. Rodel Vincent Bae, CSG President and was attended by the presidents of various student organizations of the Cavite State University.

The rationale of the activity was to revise the 2017 Constitution of CSG with the help of student leaders. Exchanges of ideas and suggestions took place which led to publication of the revised Constitution and By-Laws of the Central Student Government.

DIET discusses inception report to SMEs

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology (DIET) headed by Prof. Willie C. Buclatin conducted a visit again to the beneficiaries of SMEs Manufacturing Productivity Extension Program of the department on March 15, 2017 at Alulod, Indang, Cavite. Prof. Danielito R. Escaño, CEIT and DIET Extension Coordinator, led the visit to discuss the inception report for the respective enterprise. The following are the beneficiary firms of the extension program:
  1. Bautista Taho;
  2. D.A. De Aro Machine Shop;
  3. Jerson Sash Furniture; and
  4. Konzepto Graphics.
