CvSU IE holds grand alumni homecoming

The Industrial Engineering Section of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology conducted the First CvSU Industrial Engineering Grand Alumni Homecoming with the theme “IGNITE: Involving Graduates on Noble Intentions of Transcending Excellence” on November 25, 2017 at SM Rolle Hall, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Dr. Zeny J. Lontoc of the CHED-RQAT served as the Guest Speaker.

The homecoming aimed to gather all the graduates of the program together with their professors and establish a set of officers of the IE Alumni Association. The event also aimed to raise funds that will be used to enhance the IE laboratory and classroom, extend help to the community, and provide scholarship to financially-challenged but deserving students.

Lilang passes EIM NC III assessment

Prof. Jayson F. Lilang passed the Electrical Installation and Maintenance Assessment given by the TESDA Regional Assessment Center on November 25, 2017 in Rosario, Cavite. Prof. Lilang received his National Certificate III for this particular assessment on the same date.

Prof. Lilang teaches electrical technology subjects under the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology.

IE students attend various seminars

IE students during their seminar at LPU-Cavite

Industrial Engineering students attended the seminar entitled Triplicity: Application of Industrial Engineering Core Knowledge on November 11, 2017 at the Lyceum of the Philippines University – Cavite, Gen. Trias City, Cavite. 

Likewise, BSIE students also attended the seminar entitled “IEShikawa 12: Hiraya, Engineeing the Backbone of the Nation” on November 18, 2017 at the University of the Philippines – Diliman, Quezon City.

Castillo serves as resource speaker

Prof. Gerry M. Castillo, Industrial Engineering instructor, served as Resource Speaker during the Seminar on Integration of Technology in Problem Solving held on November 16, 2017 at Cavite State University – Naic Campus, Naic, Cavite. Prof. Castillo delivered his topic entitled Technology in Mathematics Education and Research Possibilities. Students taking courses on education attended the seminar.

Castillo attends meeting with TMP

Prof. Gerry M. Castillo, Program On-The-Job Training Coordinator for BSIE, BSAE and BIT-AT,  attended the special meeting of Toyota Motor Philippines, Corporation partner schools on November 15, 2017 at TASC Building, TMP, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. The meeting discussed the agenda among others such as OJT deployment forecast and devise of the new evaluation form.

Cahibaybayan, Electrical Technology instructor of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, served as the Resource Speaker of the Seminar entitled Technology in Mathematics: Pedagogical Thinking Concerning Successful Use of ICT in Mathematics Teaching and Learning on November 13, 2017 at SM Rolle Hall, Cavite State University. The seminar was organized and attended by Education students of the University.

Castillo, facilitator during coffee congress

The 1st National Coffee Education Congress on November 6-9, 2017 at CvSU.

Prof. Gerry M. Castillo, DIET faculty member, served as one of the facilitators during the 1st National Coffee Education Congress on November 6-9, 2017 at the SM Rolle Hall, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.

The congress was organized by the National Coffee Research, Development and Extension Center (NCRDEC) which aimed to bring together the country’s key coffee players including the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and other Research and Development Institutions (RDIs). The congress also aimed to discuss issues, challenges, and opportunities in the coffee sector.
