PIIE-CSC attends national congress

Industrial engineering students from the Cavite State University attended the 14th PIIE-National Student Congress at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City on February 24-25, 2017. The event was participated in by IE students from the different universities nationwide.

The two-day event include competitions on case studies and researches and seminars regarding big data in the fourth industrial revolution. Sen. Grace Poe served as the resource speaker of the event.

IE Profs and students attend PIIE-GMM and CIE oath taking ceremonies

Industrial Engineering faculty members and students attended the 47th PIIE General Membership Meeting and 8th Certified Industrial Engineers (CIE) oath taking ceremonies on February 21, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City. The delegates was headed by Prof. Willie C. Buclatin, DIET Chairperson, together with Ms. Mary Joyce P. Alcazar, Mr. Gerry M. Castillo and IE students, Mary Carell D. Saba and Antonio C. Rotairo, Jr.

The successful examinees from the Cavite State University includes Mary Joyce P. Alcazar, Rhenselle Mhae Q. Arellano, Gerry M. Castillo, and Angelique Anne V. Ramos. The former also obtained the 14th place of the 8th CIE exam.

WCB, resource speaker

Prof. Willie C. Buclatin, Chaiperson of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology (DIET) was invited as the resource speaker to the recently concluded "IE Leads: Minimizing Environmental Impact of Industrial Modernization" seminar on February 16, 2017 at the San Sebastian College - Recoletos (SSC-R), Cavite City. The seminar was attended by industrial engineering students and faculty from SSC-R.

Prof. Buclatin is an IE alumnus of the college.
