DIET visits another SMEs in Alulod

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology (DIET) had visited Jerson Sash and Furniture and D.A. De Aro Machine Shop on January 19, 2017 at Alulod, Indang, Cavite.  Interviews and plant audit were conducted among the two enterprises.

The activity was part of the extension program of the department called SMEs Manufacturing and Productivity Extension Program. The team was headed by Prof. Danielito R. Escaño, CEIT Extension Coordinator together with Mr. Gerry M. Castillo, IE instructor and industrial engineering students namely: Michael Angelo Maglunob, Gazel Grace Mojica and Sophia Grace Taruc. Barangay Councilor Federico Morales assisted the team during the plant survey visit.

DIET conducts initial plant survey visit

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology (DIET) conducted an initial plant survey visit to the beneficiaries of SMEs Manufacturing and Productivity Extension Program on January 11, 2017 at Bautista's Taho and AMG Stitch and Embroidery in Alulod, Indang, Cavite.

The team was headed by Profs. Danielito R. Escaño (CEIT Extension Cordinator) and Willie C. Buclatin (DIET Chairperson) together with Ms. Mary Joyce P. Alcazar and Mr. Gerry M. Castillo (IE instructors). Industrial engineering students, Michael Angelo Maglunob, Gazel Grace Mojica, and Sophia Grace Taruc, also assisted the team during the interviews with the owners of the firms.

New Certified Industrial Engineers

Ms. Mary Joyce P. Alcazar, IE instructor ranked 14th place on the 8th Industrial Engineering Certification Examination (CIE Exam) held on December 4, 2016 at the Adamson University. Other successful examinees are the following:

1. Rhenselle Mhae Q. Arellano
2. Gerry M. Castillo
3. Angelique Anne V. Ramos

Furthermore, Joyjean Joaquin and Keres Daoa, also passed the CIE exam on 2014 and 2015, respectively. The exam was administered by the Industrial Engineering Certification Board (IECB) governed by the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE).

Prof. Willie C. Buclatin attended the Philippine Institute of Industrial Enginers (PIIE) General Membership Meeting on December 16, 2016 at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City. PIIE organized the activity.
